I wasn’t sure what to do. As quickly as God put the pen in my hands, he asked me to lay it down? Was I hearing Him right? Have I been doing this right? So naturally this pause, break, or frozen moment in time brought up so many other questions… Let’s take a journey!
Much like my little blog, life can feel frozen or put on pause. As Christians we are poised to have grace and patience in our journeys. However, we are humans, very flawed and for many of us patience is NOT a strong characteristic. Our time spent in waiting isn’t peaceful, but rather an anxious state of trying to figure it all out.
Seeing why God has had you wait, well, what He has been working on is beyond anything you could ever pray or think. So it’s very important that we live in expectancy and are prepared to receive more than we’ve prayed for.
There is protection in the waiting.
There is rest in the waiting.
There is healing in the waiting.
There is redemption in the waiting.
There is a true measure of faith in the waiting.
It has allowed me to step out, be unashamed, and I don’t know what’s on the other side of the waiting BUT I know who is already there. My future is SO beautifully written by the hand of God.
Personally, I’m a “go with the flow” type. But I do know alot of people who need to feel a sense of control. When it comes to life, waiting, and being patient are vital. The only way God can show us He is in control is by taking control. I’ve often prayed for God to take control and to forgive me for trying to take it back from Him. Life is SO MUCH better His way!
Don’t trade God’s intentional timing for a personal deadline. There is a purpose in His process beyond what you or I can see. We serve a God who loves us more than we can comprehend. We won’t worship what we’ve been waiting for when we see it come to pass. We will just stand in awe, thankful and grateful of the One who makes it all possible.
I lean on knowing we are fiercely loved by our God.
The price was paid.
I. AM. FREE.
YOU. ARE. FREE.
We all remain His beloved in the waiting. No matter if we falter, show weakness, signs of unbelief, or even question what the future holds. He is always working on my behalf, your behalf. Once my dreams and God’s will for my life have entangled into a beautiful piece of artwork, I know they will become reality BUT in His time.
Live in faith, peace, and TRUST… He will provide what only HE can!
These verses give me such peace and comfort in my waiting. The word always pulls me in closer to our Lord. I know I’m tightly wrapped in His arms…
1 Peter 1 : 8-9
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
John 13:7
Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”Revelation 3:8
I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.
My prayer…
Thank you Lord for everything You’ve done. Forgive me of my sins. In my waiting, create in me a clean heart. Give me peace. Wrap me up in Your love as well as my family, my friends, these readers, and even my enemies. I love You! My life is Yours, use it for Your glory!
In Jesus’ Name.
With Love,
Michelle
